Q. What are the opening and closing dates of Parc Aventures Cap Jaseux?
A. The operating schedule runs from Victoria Day Week-end (Monday before May 25th) to Thanksgiving Day Week-end (2nd Monday of October). The peak season is from St. Jean-Baptist Day (June 24th) to Labour Day (1st Monday of September).
Q. Are pets allowed on site?
A. Parc Aventures Cap Jaseux is one of the rare parks which allows pets.
Q. How do I make a reservation?
A. Reservations can be made by telephoning 1-888-674-9114. Our receptionists take pleasure in helping you plan the best vacation possible.
Q. What payment options are permitted?
A. On your arrival at the site, you can pay by cash, debit card, credit card (VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Diner’s/En Route) or by travellers check (Personal checks are not accepted).
Q. Is it possible to get to Parc Aventures Cap Jaseux by Camper, Fifth Wheel, tent-trailer etc. ?
A. It is possible to get to our site with such vehicles and we offer the necessary equipment for your set up. However, it is important to know that there is 20% road elevation which goes for 500 asphalted meters and another elevation a little longer in gravel. Both these elevations are on the 172 highway which you must take to get to Parc Aventures Cap Jaseux.
Q. Are VTT allowed on site?
A. It is prohibited to use these types of vehicles on the site. Also, we recommend that you go by foot or bicycle to your activities
Q. What happens when it rains?
A. If you have reservations for an activity, it will take place despite the weather, unless extreme weather conditions prohibit it (ex: electrical storms, violent winds). The decision the cancel an activity is left up the Park Administrators.
If you don’t have any planned activities, you can use the main interior pavilion or one of the covered patios, where you can socialize around a campfire.
Q. Is Fishing allowed?
A. As a matter of fact, it is possible to fish from the fjord shore. No fishing license needed. Fishing rods are available for rental at the front office.
Q. Are there flies?
A. There are certain periods where there are more flies than others. Mosquitoes are especially abundant at the beginning of the season. You can keep them away by buying Mosquito spray at the Park’s entrance store.
Q. Is it possible to arrive at the park after dark?
A. There is a night security guard on site after the Park’s closure. The security guard will welcome you and direct you to your campground. Please note that your car must remain in the Main parking lot so as not to disturb the other campers.
Q. Are campfires permitted?
A. Campfires are permitted in the allocated places when there are no restrictions form the Forest Fire Protection Agency.
Q. Is there Internet access?
A. Yes we have Wifi near the visiter center
Q. Are the girls at the reception desk beautiful?
A. Yes, but those hidden in the offices are even more beautiful…
Q. Is it dangerous to sleep in the tree houses during an electrical storm?
A. No, because the houses are grounded to the earth by cables which deflect the lightening.
Q. Is there a restaurant on site?
A. A restauration service is offered for groups of 16 people or more. During peak season, snacks (chips, chocolate bars…) are for sale on site.
